I said she was an angel,
I saw her in the sky.
I looked upon her Halo of light,
she taught me how to fly.
On wings of golden promises,
through clouds of future dreams.
I swore she was an angel,
strange how nothing’s as it seems.
We walked the skies together,
I held her in my heart
as birds tweeted “She’s an angel!”
Well, I thought so from the start.
But time it turned against us
and the wind blew us astray.
She said: “I may be an angel
but this angel just can’t stay”.
She plucked my wings right from me,
I crashed down from height so tall.
From the Golden Gate of that Heavenly state,
it was a Hell of a way to fall.
